On Wednesday the House voted 349-to-62 to block Bush from cutting federal spending on Medicaid health care for the poor by $13 billion over the next five years. President Bush has threatened a veto, but supporters have more than enough votes to override him in the House, and maybe in the Senate, too. Here’s the New York Times article about it.
Howie Klein has another article about this at the Huffington Post entitled “62 Extremist Republicans Vote To Cut Billions From Medicaid“
Of course, Darrell Issa was one of the Bush team of 62 extremists that voted against the bill.
