San Diego Chapter 92 of the National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU) today issued a strong endorsement of Robert Hamilton in his bid for the CA 49th seat in the U. S. House of Representatives. The NTEU, based in Washington, DC, is the nation’s largest independent union of federal employees, representing over 150,000 employees in thirty-one agencies and departments.
In issuing their support for candidates Hamilton, Leibham, Lumpkin and Reps. Davis and Filner, Chapter 92 President Malcolm Gettmann said “It is crucial that federal employees support the election of candidates who value and understand the work they perform. These candidates have earned our endorsement by respecting and supporting federal employees and the work they do for our country”.
Hamilton notes, “I am deeply honored to have the endorsement of the NTEU. After a long career in international finance, I value and respect these fine people for the important work they do on our behalf. They deserve our appreciation and support.”
“All the candidates were invited to participate in this program although some chose not to do so. KOCT cannot verify or deny the truth of claims, accusations or statements made in this program. We encourage viewers to authenticate the information for themselves.”

The Robert Hamilton campaign for Congress (CA 49th District) is heating up and drawing national attention with his endorsement by the highly regarded Esquire Magazine over his opponent Darrell Issa. The widely anticipated November endorsement issue is on the newsstands now.
To quote from the endorsement: “Name a Bush-era controversy– the U.S. attorneys scandal, disappearing White House e-mails, disastrously unqualified appointments, warrantless wiretapping, torture– and Issa’s been there to defend the party line. Esquire endorses Hamilton.”
Hamilton notes that “the Esquire endorsement is especially welcome because the magazines’ editorial policy is non-partisan, with a history of endorsing on merit, promise and proven performance.”
