In their meeting of April 26th, the Democratic Club of Carlsbad and Oceanside (DEMCCO) endorsed Robert Hamilton for the 49th Congressional District.
As if we didn’t have enough of the Big Brother syndrome in the Bush Administration with their abuses of warrantless wiretaps, Darrell Issa would now like to have the congress craft warrantless surveillance of the Internet.
Here is the story from C/NET: FBI’s Net surveillance proposal raises privacy, legal concerns
I must admit that I would like the government to actually do something to help the many friends I that I have in Nigeria and elsewhere who are in desperate need of a place to deposit large sums of money. My bank account is too small to fit that much cash. Maybe our government could use some of this money to pay off our national debt?
I would also like the FBI to help out the nice people from PayPal’s Russian offices to deal with the security issues that my accounts always seem to have.

On Wednesday the House voted 349-to-62 to block Bush from cutting federal spending on Medicaid health care for the poor by $13 billion over the next five years. President Bush has threatened a veto, but supporters have more than enough votes to override him in the House, and maybe in the Senate, too. Here’s the New York Times article about it.
Howie Klein has another article about this at the Huffington Post entitled “62 Extremist Republicans Vote To Cut Billions From Medicaid“
Of course, Darrell Issa was one of the Bush team of 62 extremists that voted against the bill.
